در کافه‌ای توی یوسف­‌آباد قرار داشتیم. من زود رسیدم. گشتم تا یک­‌جای دنجی پیدا کنم و نشد. نشسته‌­بودم به انتظار که با مرد جوان کافه­‌چی پشت کانتر، تصادفا چشم­‌درچشم شدم. خوش­‌قیافه بود و چهره­‌اش ­­ویژگی مبهمی داشت که نمی‌دانم چه بود ولی هرچه بود خوشایند بود، بی‌­تردید. همکارش آمد که سفارش بگیرد گفتم سه‌­نفریم و منتظر دوستانم هستم و رفت. سردم بود مثل همیشه و توی خودم جمع شده بودم. وسایلم را گذاشتم روی صندلی بغل و زل زدم به بیرون، به یوسف­‌آباد، به روزهای شلوغ عجیب. برگشتم و دوباره دیدم که درحین هم‌­زدن یک­‌نوشیدنی نگاهم می­‌کند. متعجب بودم من که ترک دیوار این توانایی را دارد که معذبم کند، حالا چطور سختم نیست. مرد لبخند زد. من بیرون را نگاه کردم.

بعد از پیاده­‌روی سه­‌نفره و بازیگوشی­ و تافتون خریدن، برگشتم سمت خانه که باران گرفت و هرچه گشتم کیف محافظ عینک آفتابی‌­ام را پیدا نکردم. واضح بود که جامانده روی همان صندلی کناری. زیر رگبار برگشتم بالا. خیس خیس. دیلینگ آویز در که بلند شد، صاحب کافه گفت خب خودش برگشت و مرد کیف را دستم داد. ته چشم‌هاش خوب بود و از آخرین‌­باری که ته چشم­‌های خوب دیده‌­ام، هزارسال گذشته‌ است. سردم بود و دلم می­‌خواست بنشینم و چایی بخورم و گرم شوم. اما مضطرب بودم. رگبار مضطربم می‌­کند، رعدوبرق و هرچیزی که ناگهان ظهور کند. تشکر کردم و پیاده برگشتم.

عینک چندروزی روی کنسول ول بود و من، شلوغ از کار و فکر و کتف‌­درد. امروزصبح که گوگل احمق گفت هوا نیمه­ابری و گاهی آفتابی، رفتم که بگذارمش در کیف­‌ که دیدم یک کاغذ کوچک کف آن است؛ دست­‌خط قشنگی کنار شماره‌ی موبایل نوشته بود: «آیا لبخند، سزاوار تبسمی متقابل نیست؟». همین تک‌خط. از صبح کاغذ را گذاشته­‌ام کنارم روی میز کار و نگاهش می‌­کنم. یک‌­بار حتی دستم رفت روی گوشی که در جواب بنویسم آقای عزیز صاحب این شماره لبخندزدن یادش رفته است. ننوشتم، نگفتم. دیدم وقتی چیزی یادت می‌­رود که دیگر گفتن ندارد.
شماره‌‌‌ی ­­تلفن بالای کاغذ را بریدم و آن یک­‌جمله­‌ی باقی را چسباندم کنار مانیتور، رو به پنجره؛ همان­‌جایی که نسیم این‌روزهای تهران، تکان‌­تکانش می‌­دهد. به لیست کارهای امسال باید تمرین لبخند زدن را هم اضافه کنم.
