Designing blogs for readers – Matt Gemmell

I recently redesigned this blog once again, and as I did so, I thought about how my perception of blogs in general has changed over the past decade. I realised that I’d been focusing on my own obsession with what was possible, rather than what’s actually useful for the reader. I think that blogs are for their authors first, and their readership second. Writing is inherently about its author, and is a product of their personality and opinions.
